Our first aquarium trip

Levi was overwhelmed and fascinated all at once.
It was hard to get good photos there but we all had a great time.

Mount Seymour

At breakfast, I told Levi we were going up a mountain today. I asked him, "What is on the mountains?" and without hesitation he replied, "(S)now!". When we made it up to the trails, Levi was quite excited to walk in the snow. It was an absolutely perfect day up there!

silly walk

Levi started doing this funny walk around the house last night. He must have picked it up at daycare and he thinks it is pretty funny. So do we.

(S)NOW!!

Levi was ecstatic about our snowfall today. As soon as we could get some breakfast in his belly, he was out the door. He loves his snow pants and was happily bundled up while exploring. Always eager to help, Levi was doing his share of shoveling and spreading the salt. His word for snow has no 's' yet but he loves it just the same.

Xmas wishlist

It is that time of year again. If you haven't already done your Christmas shopping, you might be starting to think about it now. Levi would like to put in a few requests in case you are short of ideas. He is also accepting money for his education fund. Of course, he won't notice if he gets nothing at all and we won't be offended.

Levi loves painting and would like some kid-friendly, non-toxic paints to use. (Mom won't let him into her stash).

Books for bedtime stories would be great. He likes Dr. Seuss but we only have The Foot Book, The Cat in the Hat Came Back and Oh! The Places You'll Go. * update: We also have the Eye Book, Put Me in the Zoo and Mr. Brown Can Moo.
Anything outside of Dr. Seuss is great too. Books with pictures of real animals are also a hit. They don't have to be board books now, but they will last longer if they are.

Long sleeved, warmer shirts sized 18 month. He really likes bright colours (and so does mom).

Halloween

White Rock

It was a beautiful October morning out in White Rock. Levi and Dad had a great time digging and Levi liked to test the limits of his rain boots in the ocean.

Apple!

Levi bit into and ate a big chunk of this apple all on his own. He was pretty proud of eating it 'like a big boy' and was very obliging for the photo shoot including making a silly face.

green monster attack

Levi invented this monster all by himself by pulling his shirt over his head. Then he started attacking us and chasing us around the house. Too much fun!

Maplewood Farm Oct.2

The family took the chance on this sunny day to visit our animal friends at Maplewood Farm. As we drove around the last corner on our way there, Levi cheered, "yay!". The memory on this kid! The goats and lambs are always our favourite. But the bunnies, chickens and other animals did not get neglected.

Fish!

We went to Capilano fish hatchery bright and early this morning to see the salmon run. They have this great set-up there where you can see a channel where the fish are swimming and jumping upstream. Levi got a kick out of it.

Levi is working on his fish stories and he saw one 'this big'! (Some of them really were that big and bigger)

apples and pears

Levi has been fascinated by the pears and apples growing on the trees at our complex. Dad is kind enough to let Levi get a close up look and pick his own fruit. It has become a ritual now and we're not sure how he'll take it when apple/pear season is over.
