Hallowe'en

Here are the little guys picking out their pumpkins for carving. The two they got at the pumpkin patch field trip were apparently too precious to carve. One was very small and the other was a carnival squash anyway!

They carved the pumpkins themselves. Why not?
I caught this elusive raven on film:

Here is Bear in his crocodile costume at the pumpkin path celebration.

Forest Discovery Centre

Thanks to Aunite Ruth, we went to the Forest Discovery centre and the boys loved it! We will have to go back MANY more times and pack a picnic next time. The train ride was great and there were sooo many machines to discover. Little boy heaven.

Spot Prawn Season!

Beaver has been looking forward to May for months now. He remembers last year when we bought live spot prawns ad tore off their heads. He had such screaming fun that he could hardly wait to do it again. Now Bear has been initiated into the tradition. The tradition may be over though, because only mom and dad really ate them! Turns out the boys are really just in it for the thrill.

Raptor Centre

Beaver and I made it to the Raptor Centre yesterday. Thanks to grandma and grandpa and Auntie Kim for the membership!

Beaver didn't want to get close to this owl but he took a photo of me with him. His name is Spock.

Despite the rain, Beaver enjoyed the trip and has been pretending to be an owl and various other birds since. He can't wait to go back!
