Happy New Year

The boys and I spent a beautiful day walking and playing at a local park yesterday. Smashing ice on the marsh was the highlight for them. Watching these beautiful children in the low winter light was mine.

Fishing at the lakes

The boys have all been excited about fishing lately and we are starting to explore more of the lakes in our area. Beaver has caught a trout and several tiny fish since he started!

 The other weekend, the kids and I took a quick beekeeping course at a local farm. Despite the cooler temps and bouts of rain, we had a great time learning about honey bees.

Bear mostly played on the farm, chasing ducks and finding new ducklings. Beaver was attentive and very interested in the bees.

Good clean fun

I went for a bike ride while dad and the kids played in the yard. This is what I came home to!
